With a new entrance a re-organization of the railway station and of the exposed railway tracks is to be done. That way a direct connection to the town centre and the university is achieved.
Two “hinges” are going to link selected neighbourhoods and bring them together at the joints. The barrier character of the railway tracks disappear with the presence of a building that looks like a bridge. This linking element between north and south offers a more attractive alternative to the present tunnel solution.
